Scope: This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you use our websites (including nuovomath.com and nuovomath.oursocialuniverse.com), courses, videos, and related features (collectively, the "Services"). Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in our Terms of Use.

Highlights

  • We collect account details, usage and device data, and limited transaction metadata (payments are handled by our processors).
  • We do not sell your personal information. We also do not "share" your information for cross‑context behavioral advertising unless you opt in (where applicable).
  • If we materially change this Policy, we will notify you and, where required, obtain consent.

1) Information We Collect

We collect information in these categories:

A. Information you provide

  • Account and profile: name, email, password, country/region, age range or date of birth (for eligibility/parental consent), learning goals.
  • Purchases and support: order details, support requests, messages, testimonials, and other communications.
  • Community/feedback: content you submit in forms, comments, or surveys.

B. Information collected automatically

  • Usage and diagnostics: pages viewed, video watch progress and completion, search queries, features used, session timestamps.
  • Device and network: IP address, approximate location inferred from IP, browser type/version, operating system, device identifiers, language, referral/UTM data.
  • Cookies & local storage: identifiers that keep you signed in, remember preferences, and support analytics and fraud prevention. See §8.

C. Information from third parties

  • Payment processors (e.g., transaction status, masked card type, fraud signals).
  • Authentication providers (if you choose Google/Apple sign‑in, we receive basic profile identifiers as permitted by your settings).
  • Analytics and email delivery partners (aggregated engagement metrics; no raw payment data).

We do not intentionally collect precise geolocation, biometric data, or protected‑class inferences, and we request that you do not submit sensitive information through the Services.

2) How We Use Personal Information

We use personal information to:

  • provide and operate the Services, including content streaming, progress tracking, and account management;
  • process transactions, send receipts, and prevent fraud/abuse;
  • personalize content and recommendations;
  • monitor performance, fix bugs, and enhance security;
  • communicate with you about updates, new content, and promotions (you can opt out of marketing at any time);
  • comply with law, enforce our Terms, and protect rights, safety, and property;
  • create de‑identified or aggregated insights for product improvement and statistics.

3) Legal Bases (EEA/UK)

Where GDPR/UK GDPR applies, we process personal data based on one or more of: contract necessity (to deliver the Services), legitimate interests (e.g., security, analytics, product improvement), consent (e.g., certain cookies/marketing), and legal obligations.

4) Disclosures of Personal Information

We disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers performing services on our behalf (hosting, streaming, analytics, email delivery, customer support, payment processing) under contracts that require appropriate safeguards and prohibit secondary use;
  • Affiliates and successors in connection with corporate transactions;
  • Legal recipients when required by law, regulation, or valid process, or to protect rights and safety;
  • With your direction (e.g., publishing a testimonial or participating in community spaces).

We do not sell personal information. We also do not share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising as defined by the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA, unless you opt in; where applicable, we will honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals for opt‑out preferences.

5) Children's Privacy (COPPA)

The Services are suitable for learners ages 8+; however, accounts for users under 18 must be created and managed by a parent or legal guardian. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without verifiable parental consent. Parents/guardians may review, delete, or refuse further collection of their child’s information by contacting privacy@nuovomath.com. If we learn we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without consent, we will delete it.

6) Your Rights & Choices

  • Marketing communications: Opt out via the unsubscribe link in any email.
  • Cookies/analytics: Manage via your browser or our cookie controls (where available). Blocking essential cookies may limit functionality.
  • Access, correction, deletion: You may request access to your data, correction of inaccuracies, or deletion (subject to legal exceptions).
  • CPRA (California) rights: Right to know/access, delete, correct, and opt out of sale/sharing; right to limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information; non‑discrimination. We honor GPC signals where required.
  • Other U.S. states (VA/CO/CT/UT, as applicable): Rights to access, correct, delete, data portability, and opt out of targeted advertising/profiling/sale, plus a right to appeal a rights decision (instructions will be provided in our response).
  • GDPR/UK GDPR rights: Rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and data portability; where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.

To exercise rights, contact privacy@nuovomath.com. We may request information to verify your identity (and, for children, verify the requesting parent/guardian). You may authorize an agent where allowed by law.

7) Retention

We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate and lawful purposes, including to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. As a guide:

  • account/profile data: for the life of the account and up to 24 months after closure (unless we need to retain longer for legal or fraud‑prevention reasons);
  • transaction records: up to 7 years for tax/audit;
  • video analytics and logs: typically 24 months, then de‑identified or deleted;
  • backups/business continuity copies: retained for limited cycles and then overwritten.

8) Cookies & Similar Technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, analyze usage, and prevent fraud. Some third parties may place cookies that continue to track activity across sites; those third parties’ practices are governed by their policies. You can manage cookie preferences in your browser and, where available, through our in‑product controls. Note that some features may not function without essential cookies.

9) Security

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the nature of the data we process (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; you are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and devices.

10) International Data Transfers

We are based in the United States and may process data in other countries with different data‑protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for transfers (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses) and will take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable law.

11) Notice at Collection (California)

We collect the following categories of personal information (as defined by CPRA): identifiers; commercial information; internet/network activity; approximate geolocation inferred from IP; audio/visual content you submit; and inferences from usage. We use this information for the purposes listed in §2 and retain it as described in §7. We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising unless you opt in; if you opt in, you can opt out at any time, including via GPC signals.

12) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If changes materially affect your rights, we will provide notice (e.g., email or in‑product) and obtain consent where required. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
